Open Masterclass / 16:00

“Insight into the wonders of chamber music…”

On the first day of Festival Resonances, the wonderful clarinettist Matthew Hunt, who will be performing through out the Festival will work with the young ‘Cortenbach Trio’ in an open masterclass in the main room of the Château de Halloy.
This is a Festival event free of charge for the audience!

The Cortenbach Trio is a chamber music group specialising in the repertoire for clarinet, cello and piano. It consists of cellist Florianne Remme, pianist Alexander Declercq and clarinettist Emile Souvagie. In 2019, the group was formed at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel. They received coaching from Thomas Dieltjens, Benjamin Dieltjens and Amy Norrington. They had the honour of representing their conservatoire at the International Chamber Music Academy in Leipzig (D) where they played recitals in the Mendelssohn- and Schumann-houses as well as the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Leipzig. After a short break, they resumed their activities in 2021 with a performance at the Young Fazioli Fest in Mechelen, the opening of the academic year in the concert hall of the Brussels Conservatory and with a concert in Orpheus Apeldoorn (NL) for the NJO (National Youth Orchestra of the Netherlands).
