Han Bin Yoon

Top prizewinner at numerous international competitions, cellist Han Bin Yoon won the Second Prize at the 2013 Young Concert Artist International Auditions, as well as the Third Prize and special award for the Best Performance of the Chinese Composition at the 2013 International Schoenfeld Cello Competition in Hong Kong. In 2013, Han Bin was chosen by the Korean Concert Society to give his debut recital at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., where the distinguished audience included such notable figures as the Korean Ambassador Ho-Young Ahn.

From 2014-2017, Han Bin was a soloist at the Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth in Belgium. He has been highlighted in performances at the Music Chapel Festival in Flagey, Festival Musical du Brabant Wallon, Korean Cultural Center Brussels, and BOZAR. Han Bin has recently performed as guest soloist with orchestras including the Orchestre Royal de Chambre de Wallonie (Mons), CASCO Phil, Thornton Symphony under the baton of Maestro James Conlon, Springfield (MO), Torrance, Palisades, Brentwood and Huntsville Symphonies.

Han Bin has been invited to such music festivals as the Piatigorsky International Cello Festival, the International Musicians Seminar at Prussia Cove (UK), La Jolla SummerFest, Ravinia, Music@Menlo, Sarasota Music Festival, the Yellow Barn Music School & Festival, and the Chamber Music Workshop at the Perlman Music Program. He has collaborated with prominent artists including Itzhak Perlman, Maria Joao Pires, Gary Hoffman, Ralph Kirshbaum, Anthony Marwood, Donald Weilerstein, Paul Katz, Roger Tapping, Peter Frankl, Boris Berman, and members of the Cleveland, Juilliard, Orion and Tokyo String Quartets. Next season, he returns to IMS Prussia Cove for the Open Chamber Music sessions.

Han Bin is currently based in Belgium, were he is the Artistic Director of the Belgium Cello Society and cello professor at IMEP (Namur). Han Bin performs on a cello by Tanguy Fraval on special loan from the Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth.
